With it’s in your face vocals, raw guitars and throbbing tom toms, Hey Hey Hey is the first of many songs you’ll be moshing to in the shower before too long.
Angry Joe started in early 2013 when the members of the covers band Rock Bottom began musically fornicating together with original material for fun.
It began when bass play Simon Nightingale randomly put some lyrics to one of lead guitarist Adam ‘G-man’ Knight’s riffs he’d recorded one night when the curtains of heaven opened up and they simultaneously realized their musical destiny involved the writing of their own songs.
Together with ‘Angry’ Joe Barber’s drums and Mark Lewis on guitar they set about writing songs about chasing monsters, washing people away and not believing in stuff, with not so many short pop songs about girls.
It wasn’t until the singer from the covers band Rock Bottom left the group in summer 2013 that Angry Joe started taking their originals more seriously. 2014 is the year when they will be putting themselves ‘out there’ and getting their music heard as far and wide as possible.
Already a regular on Flash1512 internet radio station and playing live regularly in Portsmouth, Angry Joe are keen to make it on to the main music scene and stretch their sonic versatility; hopefully winning the odd Battle of the Bands along the way too!
With their current live demo recording Hey Hey Hey, With it’s in your face vocals, raw guitars and throbbing tom toms, Hey Hey Hey is the first of many songs you’ll be moshing to in the shower before too long.
Welcome to Angry Joe, we hope you’ll enjoy our stay!
