Alex Seel has influences from blues, pop and the British Folk Revival guitarists but his sound is all his own” - Twickfolk
Music has led Alex Seel from Devon to London to Ireland and back to London again. Through his wanderings, Alex has picked up a beautifully crafted, rootsy song-writing style with thought-provoking lyrics and finger-picked acoustic guitar trait.
A contemporary twist on the British folksinger/guitarist, he has a growing reputation as a solo performer, having performed around the UK, Europe & New Zealand.
2023 saw Alex release his album “All Sails To The Sun”. The Album is a dynamic mix ranging from Nick Drake/Dylanesque folk ballads through to rock that showcases Alex's sound. Inspired by the British Folk Revival it incorporates poetic, and often topical, lyric writing.
With officially 3 albums and 2 EPs under his belt, Seel has built a steady following that has earned him respect from a growing number of folk clubs, radio play and interest from home & abroad. He has supported Graham Parker and Clive Carrol amongst many others. He also plays in the folk duo (Seel & Sanders) with virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Jon Sanders.
