This Edinburgh (UK) based BBC Radio Scotland single of the week act, singer-songwriter Aino Elina [i know Elina] is originally from Lapland, Finland. Intriguingly, Aino Elina sings in both her native Finnish and in English, combining enticing melodies with an engaging stage presence to create luminous Nordic Pop.

She's currently working on her debut long play, which will be released in both languages. She has released six singles from the Finnish version of the album already, gaining plays on Spotify editorial playlists and national radio both in Finland and Scotland. Her latest single, Hold on, is the first release of the English version of the album.

Aino Elina live show consists of electronic beats & folky vocals. She has performed locally around Edinburgh since the release of her Aino Elina debut EP in 2018. She's also taken part in international showcases and played at festivals including Kansai Music Conference (Japan), IMX (China), Eden (UK), Look into it (UK), Art Goes Kapakka (FI) and Because You are a girl (UK). Aino Elina can perform solo or with live musicians as an electro pop act, or solo/with a band for a more unplugged, stripped performance.
