With their rebellious hip-hop, the crew around twins Felix and Till are shaping the scene in their own way. The German-French border crossers have proven this on tours in Africa, Asia and Europe. Zweierpasch were “Freiburg's Band of the Year”, were awarded the Adenauer-De-Gaulle Prize at the Foreign Ministry in Paris and performed on stage with Udo Lindenberg and Nico Santos. In February 2024, they wowed 35,000 people at an anti-right-wing demonstration in Freiburg. On their album 22, Zweierpasch rap about life on the border, everyday racism and resistance. They are going on tour in 2024 with their new EP “Two To Tango”. This will take them to the volcanic island of La Réunion, among other places. In March, the two were awarded the title of Knights of the Language by the French government.
International and political
Zweierpasch sound international, intelligent and intense. Poetic-political messages meet melodic-progressive beats, soulful vocals meet witty freestyles, lighter moments meet a sweat-inducing live show. Raptwins Felix and Till write their lyrics in German and French. Singers Stefan and Kata mix Spanish and English. With their band, Zweierpasch deliver rap, electro and dancehall. Guitar, drums, bass and trumpet meet synths, boombap and autotune. They tour through Germany and France - and around the world: in 2019, they played in front of 10,000 fans in Mali, West Africa. In Mauritania, they were the first German rap act ever, they played in Kiev shortly after the Maidan revolution and the Grenzgänger toured Kazakhstan with local musicians. In October, they were the first band ever to play a rolling show on the Strasbourg-Kehl streetcar.
