Zvuv String trio stands for explorng bridges between various music genres through new compositions, improvisation and more, as means of experiencing connections with new audiences, and the space where the performance takes place.

Gradually, the group evolved towards a dedicated ensemble with broad interests, highly embedded in the context but at the same time using as prime material the personality and quality of interaction between its members.

This quest is reflected in the sound of the trio, like a body which integrates different components into the same being, without rejecting the diversity of its parts: hence the title (Zvuv is mosquito in Hebrew). A key-point of this diversity is the multicultural background of Cornelia (Romanian), Maya (Israeli) and Clara (Spanish): from Balkan rhythms and expressions of longing in the Romanian folklore, to Arabic music, Spanish intonations but also trans-figurations of African polyrhythm, Hindu meditation music, classical, contemporary, electronic and many more sound qualities.

Zvuv String Trio approaches with great joy unusual concert settings, where a free space of interaction with the audience may be created: game-based interactive concerts (in different contexts: houses, various spaces), exploring frontiers of music to different art forms: graphic pieces, text music, instrumental theater, interactive installations, video art (also in the context if its “bigger” brother: the Goedlaak musicians collective).

Zvuv collaborated regularly with are very open to work and develop projects with many kinds of artists and expand their imagination (composers, visual artists, and creators from the world of dance, electronics, poetry, multimedia, performance, storytelling a.o.
