The EP was recorded using analogue equipment in a shed, lending an authenticity to Young Native‘s gritty, anthemic sound. Using samples from films and politicians the band have added another dimension to their narrative songs already laced with attitude. This young Southeast London band draw influences from acts such as Sticky Fingers, Jamie T and Mac Demarco. If you fancy a bit of grit and swagger to your music South London newcomers Young Native might just be your ‘cup of tea’ – or can of Red Stripe.
Previous/future gigs:
Young native have had an amazing past few months, playing gigs around London and supporting the likes of The Bulletproof Bomb an various other Radio 1 playlisted acts.
The band are now seasoned and have honed their live performance over the past few months playing at venues such as The Hanwell Hootie (Festival), The Victoria Dalston, The Finsbury, 93 Feet East, Underbelly, Roadtrip/workshop shoreditch, Fighting Cocks Kingston and Uni of Sussex SU.
Young Native have also confirmed festival slots for 2016, The Great Escape, Standon Calling and Stowe Fest.
Industry
Young Native have attracted industry interest over the past month from the likes of Parlophone Records, Sony RCA, Columbia Records, Universal Publishing, Your Army PR/Management, CODA Agency and Maverick Management.
