Winter Storm began in 2008 with a vision to create a band that would be heavy, atmospheric, whilst still retaining traits of the Gothic Metal sound, but providing a more Melodic Metal edge, being cited as a breath of fresh air in the melodic metal genre with recent album reviews.

Winter Storm believe we bring a new flavour to a very over saturated genre, that of femme metal bands. We stand-alone in that we focus on a heavy, metallic, riff based edge, allowing us to stand alone alongside our fellow femme bands. We feel supporting Epica in the UK would be an ideal match, to provide diversity on the evenings line up, whilst still maintaining a level of similarity in that of our uses of melodies, harmonies and heavy guitars!
