Electronic indie pop with a love of detail.

The band WHEN PEOPLE HAD COMPUTERS makes music for both dancing and listening to. The first seven track EP - "Odds & Ends" was released in spring 2013 on their own label LUXUSSCHEIBEN.

WHEN PEOPLE HAD COMPUTERS was founded in Cologne, early 2012. The four-piece band is a fusion of the indie rock duo ALBERT LUXUS (Albert L and Andreas Kiwitt), bassist Dennis Enyan and beat wizard Christoph Német. The Cologne quartet has proved their live-capabilities among others, at the C/O POP festival.

The songs begin for the most part on the computer. The fundamental basis consists of samples and synthesizer sounds which is supplemented by the sound of "real" instruments, electronic and organic in symbiosis. Beats obtain their refinement, for example, by the sampling of steps. Rehearsed bass runs and guitar sounds are readily digitally cut and rearranged. Dust between the contacts of an electrical home organ is not wiped away, but celebrated.

Headphones on, there is lots to discover!
