She has released multiple award-winning albums, and has developed numerous shows- all of which have garnered much critical and public acclaim.Musical excursions through the worlds of contemporary classical, jazz and pop music, as well as a vibrant personality, have resulted in her developing an eclectic and energetic style over the years. Wende is a musical all-rounder, a storyteller on music.

For her debut album after graduating the Amsterdam drama school in 2004 Wende worked together with the renowned Metropole Orchestra on new interpretations of French chansons and classics. It became a staggering success, setting the foundations for her to become established as one of the most successful musical artists in the Netherlands, receiving an impressive list of awards for her work, including 2 Edisons (of which one Jazz Edison), a Golden Harp, 1 Platinum Album, 2 Gold Albums and Song of The Year.
With her first English language release No.9 in 2009, Wende repositioned her image as a contemporary singer-songwriter and repeated her commercial success by capturing a new music-loving audience, impressing them with her fresh sound and unique performance style. Her success as a recording artist is even surpassed by her ability as a live performer.
Wende played Amsterdam’s pop temple Paradiso, the world famous classical Concertgebouw, as well as the Royal Carré Theatre. Also her collaboration with major orchestra’s worked out well. Besides her collaboration with the Metropole Orchestra, Wende worked with the String Orchestra “Amsterdam Sinfonietta”, the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra, she collaborated with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, with the renowned trompettist Eric Vloeimans and many others. In these collaborations Wende performs her own songs amongst well known repertoire and classical masterpieces.
Her most recent album 'Last Resistance’ was more experimental, it was created with Berlin-based producer Nackt, and reflects the blend both of electronic sounds as well as classical music.

Right now, Wende is working on her new album and new repertoire and is touring with a show in which she collects the experience of all her musical excursions and allows you a glimpse into her world: a world in which a wide range of musical genres blend organically. A show with piano, guitar, string quartet, percussion as well as electronic sounds.
