Waves Bratislava Promoter

Waves Bratislava 2014 is a music festival and conference held from October 2nd to 5th, 2014 at several clubs, off locations as well as public spaces and institutions in Bratislava.
Waves Bratislava is the first club and showcase festival in Bratislava. With Waves Vienna they form a unique concept - Twin City Waves festival - which is held in two nearest european capitals.

Waves Bratislava is planning to book at least 3 artists/bands via gigmit.com to perform live. Selected bands will be provided with a fee of 200 Euro and catering, additional compensation (like backline) could be negotiated. Numerous alternative and electronic artists will be performing alongside exhibitions, panels, lectures, workshops and film screenings during the festival week.

Pilot edition of Waves Bratislava in 2013 not only managed to capture local audience but also attracted music professionals from many foreign countries with their unique location and atmosphere. In preliminary year, approximately 3 000 people visited Waves Bratislava 2013 during one day and enjoyed 45 concerts on 9 stages. 2014’s edition will be extended to 3 day music festival including professional music conference.
This year will Waves festival Vienna and Bratislava also feature two guest-countries. That means that 6 to 8 acts from 190 in total will come from each of those focus-countries. Both guest countries will be features on special panels at the Waves Conference. Other key topics will be live music business, music streaming services and best practice from the wide field of music marketing.

The objective of Waves Bratislava is to help making the local and regional music scenes more visible and professional. A significant part of the conference is the presence of prominent delegates from the European music industry. The long term mission of Waves Festival is to help a wider dissemination of European music repertoire.
