VULPES URBANA, AKA Urban Fox are currently a four piece band based in North Wales, comprising of poets, musicians, singers and beat makers.
With a vibe that has been likened to Kate Tempest meets the Doors, Tom Waits meets the Happy Mondays with a feel of John Cooper Clarke, Ivor Cutlor, Aidan Moffat and legendary chef Keith Floyd, They have headlined shows such as Gwdihw Club in Cardiff, Telford's Warehouse in Chester alongside shows at Handyman's in Liverpool, The Smithdown Road Festival, Live n' Loud Festival, Leith Depot in Edinburgh, Llangollen Fringe, Wrexfest and Edinburgh Fringe.
Being born from previous projects The Glendale Family and Man of Straw & Friends, the band have had a multitude plays across BBC 6 MUSIC, BBC Introducing, BBC MIXTAPE, Fresh On The Net, Tudno Fm and Calon Fm alongside many regional, national and international plays on commercial and local radio. They have also had the honour of having 'ALICE' and '90's Times' chosen as Tom Robinson's track of the week and Fresh Net's top 10 of the week respectively.
The debut E.P. entitled "Paper for Work" was recorded with Marc Joy at Roc 2 studios who worked with Oasis and Primal Scream alongside a plethora of new Welsh artists and Focus Wales.
