10 YEARS OLD IN 2016!

Fisrt Prize Barcelona Jazz Competition.

Vrak’Trio is a very original jazz band with flutes, tuba & drums, winner of the first prize of the Barcelona Jazz Competition. Vrak'Trio develops connections between artists coming from various European countries (France, Spain, Poland, Finland, Italy, Belgium and Rumania) and creates multidisciplinary exchanges (video, recitals, contemporary dance...).

Extracts of www.lesdnj.com by Sophie Chambon:
''This perfectly balanced band plays the full range from plainsong to counterpoint, and creates a rich and very personal sound texture. Flute leaning on tuba, this union works effectively when based on the subtle rebound of the soft and constant drums. One of the most promising band to follow and even promote... Heads up organizers!''

Extracts of www.citizenjazz.com by Franpi Barriaux:
''The trio of flute, tuba and drums is unique and the result is seductive. The relationship between the incisive flute of Lecomte, keystone of the band, and agile tuba of Laurent Guitton creates a conversation where image and colour affect the course of improvisation. It is on this relationship that the drummer Oriol Roca stands. He affects almost more the melodic development than the rhythm, which is a platform for the trio. The secret to the Vrak'Trio lies perhaps in their will to avoid getting stuck in a rut (with slender flute and stocky tuba) by allowing the instruments to exchange roles constantly which is delightful to discover.''
