VIETAKH The ensemble of Belarus bagpipes music «VIETAKH» was founded in 1997 year.

It has students-ethnophonologists and professional musicians amond its participants from Minsk: Viachaslau Kalatsei (bagpipe), Viachaslau Krasulin (bagpipe), Pauliuk Liashok (drums), Alies Masibut (violine), Margaryta Kasach (gusli), Tacciana Plodunova (vocal), Evelina Shchadryna (vocal).

The sphere of creative interests of the ensemble participants is folklore music of the central and northern part of Belarus. This region is the geographical centre of Europe.

Traditional instrumental bagpipe music, calendar and work songs, dances, plays include the basic repertoire of the ensemble.

The participant’s costumes were made by professional artists. Belarusian instruments sound during the concert. They are duda (belarusian bagpipe), gusli, violins, akarina, diferent sound effects.

«VIETAKH» is very popular in Belarus. The artists of this ensemble were on tour in Europe for many times. The musicians recorded three programmes at the national radio of Belarus.
