Vespa Short Info

Vespa is one of the first Polish bands engaged in ska music. Although for a long time they elude categorization of musical genres, incorporating swing, rock'n'roll, a little bit of soul, and even blues into Jamaican rhythms. Concerts and image of the band are crooked and merciless mirror in which you can see the reflection of show business , the media and the audience itself. They play mainly for dancing, although their recordings can not be heard in the discos. On their account they have four longplays, of which the most favorable reviews were given to "Starsi grubsi bogatsi" (Older fatter richer), promoted by the single with the song "To tyle dziś kosztuje" (It costs so much today). Heavily ironic lyrics, charming singer, retro styling, shiny brass section and unique hosting of the concerts make Vespa currently one of the most interesting Polish concert bands.
