As such, Gregor always seeks to convey the same dichotomy in his songs, whether it be in the dynamic use of lyric and metaphor or the unique, minimal musical landscape that seamlessly blends together an eclectic and wide-ranging range of influences.

Originally from Edinburgh, Gregor moved to London to study, soon finding himself captivated by the many artistic influences and opportunities within the capital. After having gained a following - performing and working alongside other well-known acts - he decided to launch this project, writing, recording and producing the initial songs with the aim of creating his own brand of no-nonsense music with real meaning, and named Vangard to convey a readiness and desire break new ground.

Vangard's music is coupled with a commanding and uncompromising live presence, which continues to grow with each subsequent gig and new audience member and now, with his first full release and some exciting live dates on the horizon, Vangard is an artist with an exciting future.
