Simeon Ross has proved himself a tireless pop songwriter, having written and released more than 10 albums with various projects that reflect a great deal of creativity. His earlier recordings dovetailed nicely with the late -1990s rise of Britpop and Canadian alternative pop. The attendant media hype allowed him to share the stage with Oasis, 54-40, The Watchmen, Barenaked Ladies and Rob Dickinson (of The Catherine Wheel) among many others.
December 2007 brought about a chance online friendship with Boz Boorer, guitarist and co-writer with Morrissey. Also a renowned producer (Adam Ant, Cut Chemist, Kirsty MacColl), Boz was won over by his music and asked the singer to record his latest project, Shoot The Image, at his Portugal based studio with him at the producer helm.
The debut album from Shoot The Image, Cranes In The City, was self-released in 2010. Tour dates in Canada and UK, along with opening slots for Peter Murphy, followed Shoot The Image through to 2012. Critical acclaim was swift including Alan Cross calling them "slick, slinky coolness".
2013 saw Ross writing STI's sophomore release. As the creative process gathered steam, it became evident that the sound of something new was coming together. The project has been renamed Uniter and the self-produced EP will be released in early 2015.
