Iman Spaargaren's UNDERCURRENT Country: The Netherlands Genre: modern creative/jazz/free Website: www.imanspaargaren.nl Iman Spaargaren's Undercurrent (imanspaargaren.nl) is an international jazzformation with saxophonist and Young VIP 2012 Iman Spaargaren (NL), guitarist and North Sea Jazz Composition Price winner Guillermo Celano (ARG), double bass player Cord Heineking (D) and drummer Marcos Baggiani (ARG).

Undercurrent released their debut-CD 'In The Moment' in June 2013: exciting, free and intens music.

"Melody and lyricism are strong features of saxophonist and composer Iman Spaargaren. With clear expositions he wanders on paths leading to adventure" (Jan Jasper Tamboer, het Parool, 2013).

"Iman Spaargaren: a busy man, not deprived of outstanding musical qualities, as an instrumentalist as well as a composer" (Jacques Los, Draaiomjeoren, 2013).

"Iman looks for a marriage between story telling and exploring" (Hessel Fluitman, Jazzflits 2013).
