Bristol based Ulex aka Don Newson has carved his eclectic sound to a multitude of genres in a very short space of time. After his initial success with the bass and footwork label Good Street Records, he has since signed to Amsterdam label Hi-Phi Music & Advanced Records developing his unique summer house and Berlin techno blend. The support for Ulex debut EP Tropicalia was a who’s who of the established DJ fraternity inc luminaries such as X-Press 2, Horse Meat Disco and Brodanse.

Remixes, for Mono Life and International Peoples Gang have established Ulex as one to definitely watch for 2015. You must also keep an eye out on Soundcloud for his prolific unofficial edits which have been causing a stir wherever they are played.

2014 has also seen his DJ career expand incredibly, including warming up for the always excellent Nina kravitz and with residencies at Halfnaked and Frenetik onto parties at Bristol's famous Motion Skatepark and ending the year firmly established as the resident at ‘Into The Night’ in Amsterdam. His sets provide a small snapshot of his unique collection, a journey through tempo and genre be it warming up or in the depths of the night, always keeping everyone moving.
