“…performance art in a class of it’s own” “…new approaches to vocalism” “One of this years cultural events” Trondheim Voices is an improvisational vocal ensemble that works site-specific while challenging borders between audience and performer.

The unique collection of soloist singers create complex soundscapes, constantly verging on beauty and chaos, using everything around them; architecture, sound, bodies and movement. Their improvisational repertoire contains elements from both avant garde composition and well known pop songs and at the center of their performance you will always find flexibility, presence and a massive gallery of vocal expression.

While working with some of the most important contemporary Scandinavian composers (Jon Balke, Marilyn Mazur, Mats Gustafsson, Maja Ratkje a.o.) they collaborate with performing artist Ann-Cathrin Hertling as well as cutting-edge sound designers. Hereby establishing themselves as one of the most innovative ensembles in Scandinavia. In 2014 they received the Hedda National Award for best audio visual design.
