Music from colors.

Paintings in music. Synesthesia.

Original jazz compositions on acoustic instruments. Guitarist, composer Peter Kolta has been a fan of paintings since early childhood. His pieces are inspired by pictures. Also, Kolta has the ability to visualize colors while hearing a note, notion. "Music is colors played on instruments. Paintings are musical notes on a canvas". Besides paintings and artworks Kolta is also highly motivated by classical, flamenco and folk music.

Kolta studied at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Hungary and since then he works as a professional musician with acknowledged and well known Hungarian singers. He has worked as a musician in the United States as well as all across Europe and Canada. Band members include the Prima Primissima awarded bass player Laszlo Mathe and drummer Andras Markosi. Trio Kolta regularly give concerts with the Armenian accordion player, a true legend, David Yengibarian with whom the band has recorded their first album.
