Treasureseason, currently the duo of David Powell and Jess Bartlet.

Structured as chillwave built into saturated soundscapes, their music stood out with a combination of lo-fi resampling and the palpable influence of catchy 80s film soundtracks.

...

The project started in 2012 in San Francisco with Ida Olsson but after deciding to part ways after two EPs in 2013, Jess Bartlet became involved in the project and they released their first EP together at the end of 2014. Their debut release together titled Julep EP has been praised by blogs such as The Line of Best Fit, When the Grammar Phone Rings, Dots and Dashes and others.

"Calculated take on electronically-influenced pop, bringing a refreshing sense of subtle pessimism to a genre oversaturated by overt cheeriness and saccharine overkill." - When the Grammar Phone Rings

"We Live Fast" was chosen by Huw Stevens as part of his BBC1 Introducing programme and the duo have received airplay on other BBC introducing stations as well as local college radio in US. The track was also featured by Urban Outfitters top 30 tracks of 2014.

2014 also saw the duo play their first festival appearance at Truck Festival in Oxford and Norwich Sound & Vision festival after being selected among hundreds of applicants for a chance to play.

Treasureseason were also longlisted to play at Glastonbury as part of the festivals emerging talent competition and topped off the year playing successful slots at many London venues such as The Old Blue Last, The Shacklewell Arms, Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen and The Nest.

The EDM Network, Wonderland Mag and the last publication of the Zero Core magazine run by Jen Long also featured the duo, praising their current sound and named them as ones to watch out for in 2015.
