Tobia Lamare is a mainstay of the Salento (south east Italy) alternative music scene.

His large parties have hosted international and underground artists the likes of Dave Rowntree of Blur, Mike Joyce of The Smiths, and many more.

As an alternative rock musician, Lamare has opened for bands such as Kings of Convenience and Iggy Pop and the Stooges. In Europe, he has toured far and wide, playing in clubs, bookshops, big festivals (Sziget), and everything in between.
Lamare’s travels have extended into the United States in recent years as well. From Dublin to Barcelona to Berlin to London to Nashville, Lamare has connected with audiences worldwide.

He has worked extensively as a composer as well, penning music for both the theatre, cinema and for art installations (Michelangelo Pistoletto). His new single “endless” is part of the soundtrack that he recently has composed for the movie “Ius Maris” presented at the Festival di Venezia during september 2018.

Tobia has released three albums as solo artist: The Party (2010), Are you ready for the freaks? (2012), ‘Summer Melodies’ (2017). He is often compared to artist like Jack Johnson as he is deeply connected and inspired by the ocean. His last album was deeply influenced by blues, soul music and the sound of the west coast of the United States. His live sound is a mix between Bob Dylan, Grover Washington Jr, The Cure and Mudhoney.
