Formed by four friends, Aodhan, Danny, Gerard and Shane in October 2012, Those Ghosts set about like most bands in a garage trying to string together some ideas and parts into coherent songs.

The first of which rather unexpectedly became somewhat of an anthem on the Northern Irish scene. Gaining the band many followers before they had even played their first show. Which came in March 2013. To a sold out 200 capacity venue in their hometown of Strabane, Co. Tyrone.
Blown away by the response the band had received in their infancy, they had to hit the ground running. Quickly followed support slots with some of the finest homegrown talent in Northern Ireland as well as slots on the mainstage at Sea Sessions festival and the legendary Glasgowbury Festival’s swansong, To a packed out tent of already faithful fans and new converts alike. Discovering that the ideas were coming thick and fast, the band had already released 2 extremely well received E.P’s at this stage, both of which had tracks receiving plenty of airplay on both sides of the atlantic on various alternative stations as well as a few BBC shows. Already developing their songwriting nous into a more polished and mature direction, the band began working with Peter Doherty at Neon Noise studios in early 2014, after performing at the Other Voices music trail in Derry, solely concentrating and taking their time on putting everything into the studio time with Peter, the results have been worthwhile. Plans to release 5 singles over 5 months got underway and the first of which “Not Waiting For The End” went down an absolute storm. With it’s more polished and radio friendly hooks, the time in the studio was evidently paying off. Proved not to be a one off, follow up single “Bullets” kept the momentum going. the next year looks like it’s gonna be a good one for Those Ghosts…

“Their sound is huge and ambitious, built to fill mega-domes and soundtrack the closing scenes in epic Hollywood’s blockbusters. And why wouldn't they aim high?” BBC Across The Line.

“Those Ghosts carry an anthemic quality which, if not quite ready to fill stadiums just yet, will see them at least heading that way. This was no less prevalent than on big single "Not Waiting for the End", a simply gorgeous song.” BBC ATL Live Review.

“Belfast's most exciting alternative rock act 'Those Ghosts'. With an already fully formed wall of sound, the band captivated from the off, enticing the crowd with their own brand of melodic, riff driven stadium rock. Blasting through an incredibly tight and polished set, the Strabane lads turned out potential hit, after potential hit, with tracks such as 'Enemies' sounding like a classic, just waiting to make it's appearance on a Fifa soundtrack… 'Not Waiting For The End' is quite possibly the best song the band have written in their short time. If they continue to create songs of that quality and honesty the future could be incredibly bright for Those Ghosts.”
