Hailing from a small town in the Republic of Moldova, the lack of any activities led Dan Timofei (Lead Vocal/Lead Guitar) and Victor Ceban (Drums) to attend the only music school in their town.
Playing together, after 4 years they met Ion Tiuticov (Rhythm Guitar) who also attended the music school. After graduating, they met their bass player Cristian Budac and formed The Wax Road on the 1st of December 2013.
The band’s sound is rooted in the modern blues rock, alternative rock, garage rock, stoner rock and psychedelic rock but they call it simply Alternative Rock'n Roll.
Their debut album ”Rambler In The Dark” was released on the 1st of December 2016. Also, they have released a few more singles, music videos and animated music videos from their up-coming 2nd album.
In 2019, the band has toured the Europe twice, playing around 40 concerts in 9 countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and the Republic of Moldova.
Some festivals they performed at are ”Electric Castle” (RO), ”In Da Wood” (MD), ”Rock’n’Iasi” (RO), ”Zilele Nordului” (RO), ”Prut Fest” (MD), ”Rockhausen” (MD), ”Drum Day Hamburg” (DE) etc.
