Their first Ep named „In god we trust the others pay cash“ was released in 2014.
Only two years later the band had to take a break due to line up changes and reformed under the name „The Velvet“ with new members and a new musical style.

Raging Hammond organ, grooving drums, smokey guitar riffs and a powerful female voice this is what The Velvet is about.
With the ambition to bring back the 70s rock, the band composed of experienced musicians is not affraid of writing 5-7min songs and create an universe of bluesy psychedelic heavy rock.

The illigemate child of Deep Purple and the Blues Pills could be the best description if you’d tried to brand the formations style altough it’s hard to put a name on this unique type of rock.
From minor harmonic jazz cadences to heavy guitar riffing straight from the 80s, the band has a wide range of musical influences.

The band released it's first single "Let you down" this April and is currently working and recording a full-lenght record wich is going to be released end 2018 early 2019.
