Death Cap At Anglezarke | Album | 2014 |
Originally a personal project of Martin's, Then Thickens exploded into the noisy foursome standing before us. Their debut album 'Death Cap At Anglezarke' was released in May 2014 to critical acclaim, with lead single 'Tiny Legs' featuring Joe Gilgun (This Is England, Misfits) in the accompanying video. The band received natural airplay for 'Tiny Legs' along with singles 'Restart Your Heart' and 'Worms'.
Support slots with Biffy Clyro, Echo & The Bunnymen and Mariachi El Bronx have followed, with Simon Neil (Biffy) championing the band's 'dirgey pop' in the NME.
Second album 'Colic' was released in October 2015, with singles 'My Amsterdam' and 'My Sunday' receiving national press and the band went on a headline tour & a separate support tour with the Computers at the end of 2015. Further dates with the Tea Street band and a 3rd single from 'Colic' are due at the end of April.
