Now planning dates for 2017 and beyond, The Sicilian Project with vocalist Pilar and special guest Don Byron is a group like no other.

Featuring the unforgettable voice of Italy’s Pilar, and the unique compositions, arrangements, and creative virtuosity of guitarist Michael Occhipinti, the ensemble challenges musical borders, and is utterly compelling whether performing as a small group or as a large chamber ensemble with string quartet. The Sicilian Project is like boarding a sailing ship off the coast of Sicily that somehow manages to divert to Mali, New Orleans, and Toronto, freely using long forgotten Sicilian folk music as its starting point, and exploring everything from funk, to reggae, to chamber music, to adventurous jazz. Coupled with great stories and an absolutely compelling singer, the group packs a unique emotional punch that leaves audiences riveted and moved.
