The Saurs are from the outskirts of Barcelona and in only two years they have managed to carve out a place for themselves among the most outstanding rock’n’roll bands of the city thanks to their flawless live act and their ability to bring together punk and bursts of energetic distortion-filled pop.

Proof of this is that in only a few months they won the renowned Pop-Rock Villa Bilbao competition and the battle of bands organised by Sala Apolo, Bala Perduda, a prize which led to them playing at the Primavera Sound festival.
Since then they have shared stages with bands such as Thee Oh Sees and have been in the line up of festivals including Low and Vida.
The band signed to El Segell del Primavera this year, after recording a couple of EPs (the first self-released and the second on Mama Vynila) on which there were hits of the calibre of “Came To You”. The trio has now released “Magic Shape”, their debut album, recorded during this summer in the Aclam studios with production assistance by Oriol de Balanzó.
“Magic Shape” is the perfect introduction to the band, an album on which all their virtues come together: short, fast tracks on which punk, garage and pop meet with energetic bursts of hard rock and a solid musical background that is making them one of the most interesting young bands of the moment. Guitars reminiscent of classical rock but that do not shy away from introducing new angles and echoes of surf, a resounding but melodic voice and a zealous drummer are the foundations of indisputable hits such as “Thursday” (first single), “Ain´t No Deal”, “The Court” and “Came To You” taken from their EP.
