Singer/guitarist Rylan Schultz, bassist Zach Davies, drummer Tallus Scott, and guitarist Paul Kuzbik draw their audiences in with their collective vibe, catchy songs, and soulful rock-out sessions. Taking influence from bands like Kings Of Leon, The Arctic Monkeys, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, their four strong personalities are easily identifiable throughout their songs.
Their new album On Your Side has been described as “Another definite winner. They have a singular talent that allows them to write crunchy riffs that are on the bluesier side of dark, yet are still wholly accessible at the same time.” Craig Silliphant Planet S Magazine. Schultz’s intimate but powerful vocals lead a band that’s energy shifts dramatically and effortlessly; their sound balancing pop choruses painted over syncopated and driving indie rock.
They have shared the stage with The Sheepdogs, Yukon Blonde, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, The Boom Booms, Library Voices, Monster Truck, and Dragonette. Having showcased at Canadian Music Week, JUNOfest, and the Sasktel Jazz Fest, The Pistolwhips continue to play to larger crowds with each show.
