Martin and Gonzalo founded the band together in La Patagonia, Argentina and they began to play with drummer Pablo by the end of 2010 in Buenos Aires. Nico joined them on lead guitar and completed the now 4 piece combo by the winter of 2020 in Berlin.
After a couple of DIY UK tours the group started to release indie singles that were featured on BBC Sounds. The legendary Manchester journalist John Robb has been championing the band's musical quality since their beginnings and more recently in time, BBC 6 Music stellar DJ Steve Lamacq has chosen the boys among the hottest new acts to follow.
#Catchy #Energetic #InYourFace #Classy #Melodic #Fresh #Uplifting #Witty are some of the expressions commonly used to describe the trademark of their craft and songs.
The debut album of The Otherness is called “LMIRL” (Let’s Meet in Real Life) and it was produced by Gaspar Benegas and mastered by Felix Davis at Metropolis (London) -release date: October 1st.
The lyrics touch on subjects like human relationships, gun violence, corruption, climate change, pop culture, sexism-feminism, the consumer society shaped by the influence of new tech and social media, addictions, mental health and freedom of expression.
This might sound too serious, but it’s not… It’s just a rock album, meant to explode in the speakers and get people ready to celebrate the beautiful and complex fact of being alive right now.
