The Midweek Revival began as an impromptu jam session at an open mic night in Swansea in January of 2014, and after a round of drinks, the band was born.

Bonding over an eclectic range of influences, such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Warren Zevon, and Aerosmith, and a mutual appreciation for Mexican food, a series of writing sessions quickly provided a strong back line of original material.

By March, under their initial name of Midweek Rampage, the band headed to Newport to record their debut single ‘The Forecast’. Shortly afterwards, this got the attention of Cardiff radio host Big Scott who invited them to headline his popular ‘Brewhouse Originals’ session, which was simultaneously broadcast online and on the radio.

Since then, The Midweek Revival have gone on to headline The Joiners Arms (Southampton), Sin City (Swansea), charity events for Pembrokeshire Mind, and supporting acts such as Scouting for Girls, Sunset Sons, Dry The River, Hudson Taylor, and DJ Fresh.

Blending the classic sounds of their iconic heroes with a joint passion for musical experimentation and expression, their sound can be described as both vintage and fresh, with their live shows being praised for their energy and intimacy.

Last year, the band released their debut album "Great Escape" and following a line up change, have since been working tirelessly on new material, aimed for a 2018 release.
