‘Take Me Home’ is released on 24th July 2015. ‘Take Me Home’ is quantum leap forwards for the Swansea band with a sound that is unashamedly commercial. THE MARKS CARTEL are a label’s dream, a grafting, hard working band who are not afraid to write tunes that will trouble radio. Having supported VANT, PRETTY VICIOUS and THE HEARTS, THE MARKS CARTEL are now ready to take centre stage themselves working with a new producer.
‘Take Me Home’ imbibes Kasabian’s throbbing bass spikes it with the middle finger attitude of Arctic Monkeys before blitzing liberally with hooks reminiscent of Royal Blood. There are no pretentions and no fey indie posturing here. This is contemporary indie rock at its very best.THE MARKS CARTEL are Matt Turner (vocals & guitar), Kristian Tabram (guitar & vocals), Rhodri Allcock (bassist & vocals) and Emyr Lewis (drums). Artrocker
“Raw, unapologetic rock music that sounds like the result of a fight between Oasis and The Arctic Monkeys, officiated by Royal Blood. www.artrocker.tv/
Buzzin Music
“Curtain Call is an evolved and raw take on the British rock sound, with dirty, grimy guitars blaring from the speakers, rhythmic, snapping drums and grizzly, emotive vocals. You can hear the band’s influences shining through as they take elements of Oasis, mix it with a smattering of The Arctic Monkeys before blending it with a hint of Royal Blood. There are no bells and whistles here. This is unashamed rock and roll at its very best.”

SupaJam
“At times The Marks Cartel sound like a rawer version of the current Arctic Monkeys, and that’s never a bad thing, but there’s elements of modern British rock coming at you from all angles.”

“With echoes of Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, South Wales-based band The Marks Cartel turn up the Brit-rock sound with the new track "Where Do I Go?"

Fame Magazine
“With South Wales four piece rock band The Marks Cartel – Matt Turner (vocals and guitar), Kristian Tabram (guitar and vocals), Rhodri Allcock (bassist and vocals) and Emyr Lewis (drums) – you won’t get any bells and whistles, but unashamed rock and roll at its very best.”
