Following on from their critically-acclaimed debut EP, We Are Magic, The Magic Es are back with their new guitar pop anthem One Shot.

The band have gone from strength to strength, not only with their song writing and live performance but also with their progress through the industry; they recently signed to publisher Indiefish Music and are working with a large booking agent which will result in some marquee support slots in the UK later in 2016.

One Shot picks up where We Are Magic left off; it’s full to brim with melody, big solos and pounding drums and bass and has a simple mantra; don’t give up! Music blog Sound of Confusion hit the nail on the head when they wrote "These guys really know how to write a catchy tune, that’s for sure.”

Singer & guitarist Pete Thompson said “We’ve progressed a lot in the last year; more gigs, more recording and writing a lot more songs. It’s nice that we’re starting to get recognition for our efforts as it builds confidence and makes us hungry to do more”.

In their relatively short existence they’ve achieved radio play, with their Undertones-influenced debut single Melody Jane, across 26 radio stations in the UK, USA and Australia. Rick Witter, of Shed Seven fame, also made it his ‘track of the week’ on his radio show. Anthem review went as far as stating that the band were “cut from the same cloth as The Who, The Undertones and The Jam” – high praise indeed! The debut EP, We Are Magic, is out now and is receiving similar praise from the press and radio.

If you like blistering, melodic rock that lodges itself deep in your brain to the point where you’ll be humming their infectious tunes for weeks then you've just found your new favourite band.
