Their self-made debut release Fury received high praise and an EP written specifically for inclusion for the soundtrack of the film ‘I Am Soldier’ at the request of fan and writer-director Ronnie Thompson (Screwed, Towerblock, Green Street 3) has really begun to make the music press sit up and take note of a band on the rise. Their new track Echoes & Dust will feature in the forthcoming film 'The Hatton Garden Job' 2017.

Off the back of this ascension comes the new self-titled album ‘the lowriders’ – as lead singer Dave Garlick states, ‘this is who we really are’- which, given the unwanted slurs, could be construed as a cutting provocation to the ignorant condemners of their hometown, and is a distinct possibility considering the band’s poetic angst and their willingness to carry the home banner. However, unlike their mask wearing naysayers – this statement alludes to its title - a band who are laying themselves bare – exposing themselves to who they really are – both musically, lyrically and in its production - a rare transparency in world full of unsavoury and overblown garnish – and equally it refers to its ten self-effacing eclectic tracks that are distinctively them - The Lowriders. Not bad considering they’re from a town going nowhere with no aspiration!
