The Jjohns (pronounced Johns) are a five piece Liverpool-based alternative/acoustic rock band formed in March 2015 by brothers Mik and Dom.

After writing many songs together they then recruited brother Phil and friends Ste and Sam. The first gig was in the famous Eric’s bar in Liverpool city centre in June 2015, where the potential and chemistry was realised instantly. They have now played a variety of venues around and outside the city, including Liverpool festivals Sound City 2016 and Liverpool Loves 2016.
The band’s sound, laced with harmonies and electric acoustic melodies, is highly influenced by the Mersey-beat era and previous scouse bands such as The La’s, The Farm, Cast, The Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers. Other bands which helped shape The Jjohns include The Bee Gee’s, The Everly brothers and Buddy Holly; influences which are front-and-center when listening to their distinct sound.
The band has recently released a four track EP and a music video for their single, ‘Stone Across My Cave’, which has been well-received by their large organic following. The band has also had airplay on BBC Merseyside, BBC Introducing North West and Radio City Talk.
