Living in Wolverhampton / Stafford, the four lads who are aged 16 - 19 years old, first met a few years ago and started performing together in musical youth theatre groups across the West Midlands, recent credits have included the shows Les Miserables, Oliver, Hairspray, Miss Saigon, Our House and many more.

It was during these early years that their common interest in music was born, particularly when they became aware that they shared the same source of musical inspiration – The Beatles.
The Icon formed in 2015 following a musical theatre concert in which they played a medley of songs from the 50’s and 60’s featuring their idols The Beatles and also The Jersey Boys.

Since that time, the band has been enjoying playing a variety of gigs across the region at pubs, clubs, festivals, charity events and parties and also at the end of last season, a performance at Anfield for ‘Liverpool Match Day Live Music’. Whilst playing a variety of music from a range of artists from the last 50 years, their music has always included a core of Beatles and other songs from that bygone era and such is their love for the Beatles, that bedrooms are adorned with photos, memorabilia and even decorated like the Cavern Club.

During 2017, the band has started writing their own material and they have been to a recording studio in Manchester to get some professional recordings of some of their own songs. These songs are very much based on the 50’s / 60’s genre, and with 3 singles released so far, they have been performing some of these live on local radio in the Midlands earlier in the year and on BBC Radio Merseyside in August, to promote their appearance in the International Beatles Week Festival that month where they played each day.

The boys love all things Liverpool, to visit and play in the Cavern Club and to ply their trade busking songs whenever and wherever they can.

From September they have been spending more time in Liverpool as they commenced their studies at the universities and LIPA.

They would love to perform at the Sound City Festival and enclose a couple of videos to show their creative style with their original material as well as their performing abilities with a musical video of their debut single 'Losing My Mind', a couple of covers played at rock gigs and one of a Beatles rendition to show their singing abilities.

Their USP would be vocal harmonies for all 3 front men as well musical and stage performance.

They have just progressed to the North West final of Soundwaves UK band competition and will be playing on the mainstage at the O2 in Liverpool in March.
