English Bio:
Formed in 2013 by The classical Guitarrist Alejandro García Martínez & Vocalist Eduardo Bermeggio, The Funerals´Mexican Rock & Roll Combo moved out to Europe in 2014. Sick and tired of the lack of support on their own City and especially pissed off ´bout the miserable poor and wacky Mexican Music Scene,The Funerals found shelter in Cities like Manchester,London,Paris,Lyon (where they were supported by the Legendary Robert King Vocalist of the 70´s Post Punk Band:The Scars) and now, just like The Beatles, starting over their career in Hamburg, Germany. Their music has been described by critics as: Little bit of The Birthday Party, little bit of Punk´s weirdos: Johnny Moped, little bit of Stooges-Proto Pank with that chaotic and powerful attitude on Stage; All mixed in a blender for a Funerals Decadent Rock smoothie.
“Strange Girl” from their First EP almost sounds like it could be off of the legendary Nuggets garage rock sampler. Mexico City’sThe Funerals prove Proto-Garage can survive and Punk / Avant-Garde Extravaganza is still in style.
Now the band is actually touring & recording the Debut Album in Europe.
