The Chairman formed in 1997, has released 11 albums, and received numerous domestic and overseas awards, including this year's Golden Melody Award of Taiwan, they won the best band of the the year (by the album "The Offering", the 2nd time of the same category.) , and the album "The Offering" has also been nominated for Grammy Award 2019 for the best recording Package (Art Direct: Qing-Yang Xiao).
The Chairman is famed for its particular Taiwanese local rock style, mixing Taiwanese traditional culture (such as temple fairs, local religion music and Taiwanese local opera instruments) and the newness. The Chairman has dominated the Taiwan music industry for years.
