The Basement Effect are a UK punk and rock band formed, in Liverpool in 2014.

The current members of the band are Sam Jones (Lead Guitar/Vocals/Keys), Ben Truman (Bass Guitar/Mandolin/Violin), Harry Maitland (Drums/Percussion/Backing Vocals) and Freddie Johnson (Rhythm Guitar) and were named themselves The Basement Effect because after as result of rehearsing the basement of drummer Harry in Crosby Liverpool

To date the band have currently written and produced three of their own songs Call Me Home (2014), Just Like You (2014) and Pros and Cons (2014) all of which appear on their first EP Pros and Cons (2014).
