The BaBy Factory is a folk rock duo project from Caracas, Venezuela; consisting of Baldo Verdu (Vocals, guitar) and Barbara Combellas (vocals).

We met at the University in 2010 and began to exchange musical ideas and to create songs together. Later, both of us felt it was a good idea to look for music opportunities in Europe. In 2012 we crossed the Atlantic, and after a while of living in Amsterdam and touring around Europe, are now established in London. In spring of 2013 we issued a self-released album that is divided in two parts, showcasing a folk sound and a rock sound. The reason of the release in this format is that we agreed on divide and respect the different influences and musical preferences of each of us. Baldo contributed with a funky rock n roll sound and transgressive lyrics, while Barbara raised interest in vocals and soft melodies. The result is a material divided in The Rock Album and The Folk Album. We released our first single “Pervert but I like it” extracted from The Rock Album at the beginning of 2013.We had the opportunity to play gigs in London More Music Than Mud Festival and O2 Academy in Islington, as well as usually playing in Proud Camden and other clubs in Camden Town and many places in East London. We are currently promoting our latest single called Get Out of the Road and will be returning soon to the studio to record our second self-released album, which will be out in mid 2015.
