Tectyle incorporates elements of electronic pop and wave into its songs. Catchy melodies find their way into the band's repertoire, too, as do pulsating beats. Particularly striking are the vocals of Frank blended with Andi's deft touch for choosing the right sound. It's the mixture of the two, the vocals and the sonic impressions, that makes the magic and ultimately evokes a range of emotions in the listener.

As for the musicians themselves, they have many years of musical experience behind them. In fact, the two worked together in the '90s and were the main forces behind the project "Usarian," releasing an album, a maxi-single, and various samplers. They also played gigs together.

At the beginning of the 2000s, Frank and Andi parted musical ways, but this did not break their friendship. They separately developed new skills, which now find their place in Tectyle. Frank invested a lot of time in developing his voice and in his performing skills and worked on various projects. Andreas established himself as a songwriter and as a producer of the band Lost Pictures and won many band and song contests.

In contrast to the past, when the two were playing with Usarian, Frank now takes the role of singer, while Andreas is mainly responsible for producing. Both contribute (as before) to the songwriting, a fact that offers a great deal of variety to the overall sound.

In 2022 Tectyle was the winner of "Hören online" (an online song contest) with its song "Polaroids".
In 2023/2024 Tectyle was one of the winner bands at the "Battle of the bands" of the music magazine "Sonic Seducer" with the track "heart within" (3rd place).

TECTYLE

Die Band Tectyle [ˈtæktaɪl] wurde Anfang 2021 von Frank Paul und Andreas Stöcker gegründet. Tectyle steht für elektronische Musik von Pop bis Wave. Eingängige Melodien finden im Repertoire genauso ihren Platz, wie pulsierende Beats. Besonders markant sind die Vocals von Frank und Andis Gefühl für die richtigen Sounds, die gleichermaßen und mit hoher Wiedererkennung Gefühle und die Seele des Songs transportieren.

Die beiden Musiker blicken auf langjährige Erfahrungen zurück. Sie arbeiteten bereits in den 90er Jahren als Masterminds im Projekt „Usarian“ zusammen und veröffentlichten ein Album, eine Maxi-Single, diverse Sampler-Beiträge und spielten zahlreiche Gigs zusammen.
Anfang der 2000er trennten sich die musikalischen Wege, ohne dass daran jedoch die Freundschaft der beiden zerbrach.
Frank und Andreas erarbeiteten sich separat neue Skills, die nunmehr im Projekt Tectyle ihren Platz finden. Frank investierte viel Zeit und Arbeit in die Entwicklung seiner Stimme und Performance und arbeitete in verschiedenen Projekten. Andreas etablierte sich als Songwriter und Producer der Band Lost Pictures und sammelte dort als fleißiger Mastermind auch jede Menge Live-Erfahrung und gewann so manchen Band/Song-Contest.
Im Gegensatz zu früher (Usarian) tauschten die beiden quasi Ihre Rollen: Frank nimmt nun die Rolle des Sängers ein, währenddessen Andreas schwerpunktmäßig für das Producing steht. Beide bringen sich (wie auch früher schon) beim Songwriting ein, was das Ganze sehr abwechslungsreich gestaltet.

2022 konnten Tectyle mit ihrem Song "Polaroids" den Hören online-Wettbewerb gewinnen, 2023/2024 gehörten sie ebenfalls zu den Gewinnerbands beim "Battle of the bands" des Sonic Seducers mit dem Titel "heart within", mit dem sie Platz 3 belegten.
