Coming together with a love of experimenting with music, TAWS is a four piece progressive/math rock band hailing from UK, Norway and USA.

Intricate riffs, heavy grooves and soulful vocals make up a unique and innovative sound.

"Curdling minds with their devilish instrumentals, Liverpool newcomers Taws are proving what it’s like to produce a platonic wave of drollery.
Taws‘ head-scratching ideologies have been carefully concocted for the sake of ‘once you listen, you will never go back.’
Ferociously intimidating but nevertheless capable of slamming the replay button, Taws are ones to watch."

"TAWS hit the progressive math rock nail on the head. With more parts than an Ikea flat pack these songs were complex. Their sound was not dissimilar to an early Biffy Clyro, before their ego’s got too big. Their rhythm section, both incredibly tight and in sync with each other, worked nicely in contrast with the slightly more accessible vocalist."
-LIPA Linked

"The female vocals overlaying the prog-metal gave the band a distinctive edge... The music showed virtuosity and ranged from truly melodic to real heavy, dirty metal. The constant tempo changes kept the music interesting"
-Liverpool Noise

"The drummer did a great job of keeping the groove going while switching time signatures multiple times throughout the songs. The bassist and drummer were like a machine working together to keep the rhythm strong. The guitar playing in this short set was mind blowing, using a bunch of different techniques. Layered on top of all that was a powerful vocal with rebellious lyrics. Taws look like they have been playing together for years and they kept the audience going through the whole set."
