Formed in late 2013, Tabloids capture the mood of post-punk bands like Joy Division and Interpol, mixed with pop sensibilities reminiscent of the The Smiths or The Cure. Soaring vocals, driving basslines and infectious hooks combine to make the signature sound of the Leeds-based band. The songs ‘Obsessions’ and ‘Circle’ have both been played on BBC Radio 1, whilst latest single Grave has featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music show.
Tabloids appeared at 2014’s Reading and Leeds Festivals on the BBC Introducing Stage. The debut single ‘Grave’ is out now.
