Suite for the Seagulls a suite written as an homage to the seagulls at the west coast of Norway in a little town called Haugesund.

This work consists of 7 seven movements and is specifically written for the magical meeting between two highly unique ensembles in the european contemporary jazz scene today, Norchestra and Gnu Quartet. This music is also some of the first chamber music/jazz ever written for the 8-string Brahms guitar by guitarist and pianist Alf Wilhelm Lundberg, arranged in collaboration with the string players in Gnu Quartet. Mixed by Sander Stedenfelt-Olsen at Syncpoint Studios in Trondheim. Will be released in stereo and 5.1 surround in 2018 on Acoustic Landscapes. The piece was originally premiered at the Sildajazz festival in Norway in 2010, and in 2014 it was recorded and performed for the first time in Genova, Gnu Quartet's hometown in Italy. In 2015 we have been working on perfecting the stereo and surround mixes at Syncpoint Studios in Trondheim and finally Suite for the Seagulls is ready to be released in 2018! Both ensembles have released numerous recordings in their home countries with praise from both audiences and highly acclaimed by critics and reviewers jazz magazines and newspapers. Thanks to Marina Mazzoli for taking the photo from our last concert at Teatro Della Tosse last year in Genova december 2014.
