Described as 'Liquid Candy Shop Afro-Pop', the Newcastle four piece have captured the audience of their local scene and the attention of the music industry through their unique and melodic sound since forming in 2011.

In late 2012 the band released their critically acclaimed debut single Take Your Time which gained XFM's Single of The Week and was aired on BAFTA award winning reality TV show Made in Chelsea. This generated industry attention from the likes of Kessinger Publishing, EMI Records, Columbia Records and Virgin Records as well as the attention of major producers Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys/Pulp/Reverend and the Makers) and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes).

In the summer of 2013, Street Party in Soho played Brightons' Great Escape Festival sharing a bill with the likes of The 1975 and Bastille as well as supporting Toploader at Corbridge Festival later that year before leading onto supporting King Charles on his UK tour in early 2014.
