His music is deeply shaped by his international upbringing and formal musical training. Born in Switzerland and raised in Italy as the youngest of six, he grew up in a strict religious environment where his father served as a pastor. As he grappled with his identity, music became his sanctuary—a space where he could reconcile his inner conflicts and ultimately embrace his true self.
After being married to a woman, Stemin came out as queer, a pivotal moment that profoundly shaped his artistry. His earlier albums, #tellyourheart and Unspoken Dreams, explored these personal transformations through a mix of soul, R&B, and introspective storytelling.
Now, Stemin enters a bold new era with electrifying, danceable pop. Tracks like 1,2,3 and XTC embody this shift, celebrating gay love with playful, provocative lyrics that challenge norms and invite listeners to embrace love in all its forms. Meanwhile, Rainbow Empire takes on a powerful anthemic quality, offering a message of resilience against religious and societal oppression. His sound has been described as The Weeknd meets Dua Lipa and Sabrina Carpenter—but with a distinctly queer twist.
More than just music, Stemin’s work is a movement. His performances across Europe—at major Pride festivals in the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, and Italy—have cemented his role as a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ visibility and empowerment. Beyond the stage, he actively supports the queer community in Amsterdam, collaborating with initiatives like Dress and Dance to foster safe spaces and community connection.
Now, as Stemin sets his sights on the next chapter of his career, performing at ESNS is not just a milestone—it’s essential. It’s the gateway to connecting with key industry players and expanding his audience across Europe.
His journey is only just beginning.
