When he is 14, he is into Run Dmc, Public Enemy or a Tribe called Quest until he encounters Kraftwerk, Front 242 and the first “Techno-platter” while browsing through a record-store…
His enthusiasm for vinyl increases so far, at the age of 16 you can meet him all by himself in Frankfurt, shopping vinyl at the legendary Delirium.
At the Loveparade for the first time in 1996, he clearly knows where this journey will take him.

The first small gigs won’t wait long, not least because of Steffen’s move to Frankfurt to complete his education when he is 16. The Omen as well as the Dorian Gray are becoming an obligation. Back then, known as “Toxic”, he already plays a few gigs until he plays records regularly once a month in the “Box” at the Willy Brandt Platz.
Back home as “TOX”, his own events and regional gigs are still a must. At that time there’s mostly “Schranz-records” in his case, but with time, his sound changes more into the direction of Electro and House, therefore a change of name is inevitable. Called “Eismann” by his friends, the name is quickly found and is still familiar to a lot of people in the region.

After an absence of several years regarding public appearances, he now devotes more time to his passion of electronic music and plays gigs as a DJ throughout Germany: Cologne, Frankfurt, Marburg and Gießen, besides Herborn and Dillenburg, are regularly found on his dates.

Grown older and with the focus on essentials, he releases his first EP “Get down” on weplayminimal under his real name and will use this name from now on as a DJ.
