The Steady State Regime are a Glasgow based psychedelic indie rock band formed in 2011 from local scene mainstays the Antics, Confusion and Zener Diode.

The Steady State Regime's sound encompasses aspects of neo-psychedelica, post-punk and britpop.,

The Steady State Regime have earned plaudits for their live performances up and down the country, regularly appearing at Scotland's premier music venue, King Tuts as well as Edinburgh's popular Cabaret Voltaire and Sneaky Petes.

In March of 2014 the Steady State Regime recorded their new EP, 'Perestroika' at the renowned Chem 19 studios (Mogwai, Idlewild, Franz Ferdinand). Perestroika was recorded and produced in 2 months with the help of Derek O'Neill (Phantom band, King Creosote). Perestroika highlights the different sounds of the SSR, from the more aggressive, post-punk sounds of Dr Dietrich and User to the neo-psychedelica of Be Yourself and Settle the Score.

The Steady State Regime have rounded off 2014 with gigs at King Tut's, Sneaky Pete's and Cabaret Voltaire. A bright start to 2015 awaits with yet another eagerly awaited appearance at King Tut's booked for later January.
