Sonido San Francisco is a mexican band with colombian roots that mixes folkloric, tropical, regional and popular sounds, with electronic music, funk, rock and other contemporary genres.
The language created by the mexiquense sextet is assembled as a digital handicraft, as if programmed by hypermodern farmers with broadband internet access, between the memories of life in Colombia, USA and Mexico City, and the journey leading to Xona. Influenced by old vernacular music, SSF uses electronic tools, analogue synths, computers and typical organic instruments such as guacharaca, accordion and colombian gaita.
Their music has taken them all across Mexico, and even beyond borders to USA, Japan, Colombia, Argentina, Spain and Germany.
In 2014 they released the album "Sentimiento Electrónico" (Electronic Feeling), produced by Gerry Rosado in the studios of Intolerancia Records. It was oficially presented at Vive Latino Festival along with the hit video single "Vacílela", a mix of high energy and mexican corrido. That was their third time in a row showcasing at Vive Latino (2012, 2013, 2014).
This delivery to new tropical music the many and diverse influences of SSF, where electronic music, cumbia and other latin rythms thrive, connect and communicate, creating a new approach to tropical electronica.
