Squaring Circles, Songs For Walter’s (AKA Laurie Hulme’s) 7th free single, is written for all those trying to please unscrupulous bosses and working un-paid over time in the age of the austerity, zero hours contracts and the gig-economy.
This single follows ‘Earwigging’, released in April 2017 and played by various 6Music DJs (Lauren Laverne, Tom Ravenscroft, Steve Lamacq).
In 2016, Songs For Walter released his self-titled debut album to much critical praise and heaps of radio play (Jarvis Cocker, Stuart Maconie, Tom Robinson) and set the sonic wheels in motion embarking upon a full European tour.
His forthcoming second record is due out June 2018.
